Since 1959 he has madehis home in Tokyo with his Japanese wife Tamiko, and twodaughters. He speaks Japanese wellenough to conduct interviews withoutan interpreter and feels that the Hiroshima victims were much more willing to talk to him because of hisunderstanding of the language. . . . noergDEXTER MASTERS is the author of a novel about Los Alamos,The Accident, published 10 years ago and now being reissued byAlfred A.
